Writing Movement-Mariehamn: Writing Workshop

Writing Movement was responsible for a tree-day writing workshop in Mariehamn, during the ke∂ja Encounter, from 7^th to 9^th of August 2014. The workshop leader, Kristin Valla (no), talked about how to put dancing into words and how to get newspapers and magazines to future more articles about contemporary dance. This workshop focused on practical journalistic tools and how to approach editors to get articles and text published. The nine participants got lectures, tasks and writing assignments through three-hour daily lessons.

Kristin Valla (NO) is the editor in chef of K, a monthly culture magazine in Norway. Throughout her career she has worked for several Norwegian newspapers and magazines, and has also authored two novels.
