Is 48 proposals a record?

In total 48 proposals were submitted for the first Writing Movement call for articles. We don’t know if it’s a record, but are very happy with the response. The background of the writers that with this express their interest in dance writing is varied; from artists, to academics and some journalists and critics. From young aspiring writers to the more experienced.

Proposals were submitted from all the countries taking part in ke∂ja and sorted by country we found five proposals from Lithunia, twelve from Sweden, six from Denmark, four from Finland, three from Iceland, two each from Latvia and Estonia and thirteen from Norway.

The next step in the selection process is a short listing made by the partners in the Writing Movement network, who are also responsible for hosting and organising the many seminars and workshops that are taking place under the ke∂ja Writing Movement umbrella. Writers that have submitted proposals can expect a response in the first part of November.
